Why religion bothers and fail on me!

I keep it very short and direct. Belief and religious system try to explain what we the humanity do not know, why are we here, what does it all mean, where did we come from; all concepts and questions which are very hard for anyone to understand via something which even we understand less, God. God does not answer those question, it only add to the questions!

Sad people

I always sense and see people are most calm when they are sad. Not anxious but sad. I don’t know why but the sad in them bring the artist in them. Sad people easily smile, you the kind when you are walking in a late autumn afternoon in a garden of maple tree, and you meet a stranger and you smile gently to them, that kind of smile; their smiles is very similar to the one Mona Lisa is making for the past centuries.

Sad people tend to walk like they are contemplating on something very important. Hands behind their back, while one hand is holding the other one, head is facing downwards inclined enough high just to see few meters ahead. Occasionally looking around them whenever they hear abnormal noise, mostly looking out of desperation of hoping to see something interesting so their pointless empty contemplation can be forgotten.

There is one more interesting fact I noticed about sad moments, the sad individuals after trying hard and long to loss the empty thinking phase they are under they would than start looking at people facial expression, trying to figure out what kind of day those people had.

And now I wondering what the hell I wrote this for, what point I was trying to make, seriously there is no point in this writing, it is just something I have notice in the last day of spring!

We all got ripped off MAN! >:(

I am sceptical about the deal we call life. I mean what is the deal with life, what point was god trying to make with creation of human, let’s assume for now there is a god. The freewill to me is just an oxymoron, as no matter what the only profit you got from this deal of life is nothing to be crazy for., Yes people if if it was up to me to call life fair I would say it is not, it is anything but fair, I am not been an emo, I am been realistic. I see no benefit from our existence, sure I do have good moments in life, sure I do enjoy life, but is it truly worth the risk of been a creature of existence who could possibly one day die and go to hell just because he used his end of bargain, which is using the power of freewill we get for been humans.

Freewill is like a loaded gun, it is like giving a loaded gun to a child and telling it ‘be careful with it, don’t pull that trigger because if you do you may hurt someone.’ Surely the child been a child sooner or later will want to pull that trigger and see why it was asked not to pull the trigger! Now let’s assume the child did pull the trigger and killed someone, who do we blame? The child or genius who gave the loaded gun to the child? I mean for heaven sakes it is not like freewill came with a manual of usage, sure you can argue no ‘Mr X. you’re wrong, there is a manual, it is call religion.’ I agree religion is meant to be telling us how to use freewill, but yea once again if the deal we get from life for been a human is freewill and we are only limited to be so much free I got to say we got ripped off on this deal and we better file a complaint to the fairness depo as there is to much to loss than there is to gain!

Nuremberg trials:Dialouge between Gustave Gilbert and Hermann Göring

Göring: Why, of course, the people don't want war. Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship.

Gilbert: There is one difference. In a democracy the people have some say in the matter through their elected representatives, and in the United States only Congress can declare wars.

Göring: Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.

Matter of faith

They said, “I called God many times, but I never heard from him.”

He said, “Maybe you didn’t listen well.”

They said, “How can we know if it is him who has spoken to me while we were trying hard to hear?”

He said, “Does life feels on either side of the extreme?”

They said, “No, but what if my life was on either side, and how about now, this moment where my life is on the moderate scale, couldn’t my life be a little better this moderate one?”

He said, “By better I know you mean more wealth, as now days money is what judge of one’s life as been good or bad, so now I ask what if you had all the gold in the world, would you consider this as a blessing of God? I am sure not as you would say ‘I am to be credited for all the gold I have possessed as my wealth, as I worked hard for them. You soon would be engulfed in your wealth and power that soon you will forget God and maybe use God as a tool for increasing your power.
Then a day will come that you will suffer again, and then you will remember God.
You see my friend we human only remember God in times of pain, in times of hardship, when things are uneasy, but when you are blessed with good fortunes God feels miles away. Yes my friends, therefore there can never be a good enough sign for one if they wish not to see it. If you wish to see with a willing mind and heart you are surrounded by signs which I call an endless blessing. As for those who live in the extreme low, where they have no wealth to live on, have no food to eat, in them you will find people with strongest faith. It is true that most may only worship God because faith is all they have left, only few will worship God the way he was meant to be worshiped as once again we only remember God when we suffer and the only reason we pray is because we are suffering otherwise it would be luckily we would never even try to remember God. You may say but most of them never recover from those hardship and even some see their sons and daughters die, well my friend that is the sad bitter truth .All I can say is pray in in hereafter they will be rewarded for all their pain and enter the kingdom of heaven. Yes my friends I cannot tell you the exact location of heaven nor if it real, but all I know if you want to live a Godly life things will soon work out, you don’t know how but it does eventually all make sense. You may not be convinced but at least have it in back of your head, if you are a rational person who does not believe in luck, in moments where you feel lucky, as something happen for you favour in a manner that you just cannot make sense out of it, that maybe the bless which you may or may not deny of.

The option is up to you, after all you are free to will a freedom you want.”

Critique to freedom

The limit to freedom

We all like to talk about freedom, we all love to defend this lady for her rights when we feel it is been abused. We are so sensitive about it that whenever we hear the cry of “help our freedom is under fire” we give ourselves the right to attacked lands and wager wars just to fight for it, but in reality how free are we?
In reality freedom is nothing but actions bounded in limits. These limits in my opinion come in two forms:
1. Physical freedom: What we can do physically
2. Mental freedom: What we can think
In my opinion freedom at its best is mostly freely in the second arena.

The Utopia of limitless freedom, and how it can never exist:

Consider a universe where there is no laws of physics applied in manner which can restrain your physical freedom and, no laws are there to govern you and limits you on your actions and you are truly free to do whatever you want, think whatever you think, and carry them physically. In this case you can truly be free, act and do what you feel like. However for this case to work there should be one main principle which must apply at all times:
• You must be alone in this universe at all time.
You may ask why is this so? A universe with populations of +1 will lead to limited freedom automatically. Once everyone wants their version of freedom your freedom will be restricted more and more. Let’s say you wish to fly naked on a half breed horse and cat, and the other individual does not want that so he or she is then free to complain. However since you are a selfish fool you tell her tough luck, deal with it, I am free to do whatever I want. So now the other person has two options:
1. Since she/he cannot remain indifference to this he or she must limit her freedom by not been where you are, which automatically demolishes the perfect Ethiopia of freedom for her.
2. She can get a gun and shoot you in the face because he or she is free to do so, offcourse others then have the right to do the same to her and soon you will have to hell in this haven of freedom.
Consequently you must be alone. No let’s not forget the reality that been alone is impossible now days and the perfect Ethiopia is just a thought experiment at its best. And we all saw how one in this hypothetical made up world is still very much limited in its freedom! Let’s go back to reality and look at the two cases I have stated at the very beginning.

Physical freedom:

Physical freedom is the state of being able to carry any physical actions without been bounded by anything. Of course there are limits to this. The limits come down to laws/regulation of one’s nation/culture/religion and your physical ability. So once again perfect freedom cannot exist .
Laws and regulations restrain us from many actions. The fact that you are restricted to be free in completely against the idea of freedom.

Mental freedom:

This is the place where we can have the most freedom. We can think of all things we are physically restricted. However once again the limit to this is your imagination. Some person can be more mentally free than the other.
Mental freedom at its best is only a subjective, limited to the power of your mind.

So what is my point?

Let me clarify one thing, freedom by all means is not an illusion, it does exist and yes it is quiet applicable, however freedom is not limitless, and in fact if it becomes limitless all it will be doing is attacking itself. So it is best to have limited freedom.
So why did I wrote that? In current times we all become so lost that our racism and ignorance finds its way out by a abusing the notion of freedom. Countries wager wars upon other nations by the name of freedom. We attack people as they are appearing to be from the people who “hate freedom”. Reason for this is because we forget to notice freedom is very subjective and culturally sensitive. We put down people who do not agree with our version of freedom. We make fun of people who use a different version of freedom. We make fun of people for the clothes they wear, for the food they eat and......... We forget that all they are doing is following their own limited freedom. And in their limited freedom your action could very much be the joke or the stupidity they all try hard to prevent themself to do.
Laws and regulation always exist. One nation came to this limit by means of ‘census’ and the other by means of ‘divine intervention’. What is important is that laws and regulation are a must, and a necessity. They are there to protect the very subjective notion of freedom from itself.
The only question remains now is under which limited freedom you want to live your life in. I believe this is why war occurs. People do not like the limit their society is given to them, they have issues with it and their ideas are been way too restricted then it should. Other nations see that and want to help but they are forgetting that in the same society there maybe be millions who are happy the way things are limited. People should have the right to be able to live in societies best suited for them. World politics fails at this. We fail to allow people these rights. And we try to solve this problem in the most unusual ways. In means of wars.
So what now? I guess at the end it is up you and after all you are free to be free within the limit of the limit your choice to freely live a limited life.
Like always this is only my opinion and could be very wrong.

wall and paint

"Put yourself in the shoes of others, pretty soon you will notice your life will have a different tone, because you are beginning to for once hear and sincerely understand what it is like to be the other side. I am all for dialogue, even if the other person happens to be my worst enemy. ", said the paint to the wall!
Wall replied, " Have you finished talking, now wipe yourself of my self your good for nothing foreigner paint!"
And the drying process continues!

The hardest part....

The hardest part of the day is the night. Going to bed, trying to figure out how you could have had a better day, a more productive day, and how this unproductive unfortunate day could possibly change the structure and the integrity of the next day.
And comes the next day you are still the same person.

2:06 AM, another late night.....

2:06 AM, another late night, or is it morning, I no longer know the difference between them. There isnt a night that I dont go to bed wishing how good it would have been if I was able to see a small glimps of what the future holds for me, for us, for the world. There isn’t a night that I wish I would have seen what future has, maybe than I could have changed the path I am taking right now, maybe I would have changed the path others are taking, so they would be alive, so they could be happy.

2:09 AM and I am realizing that some things are best to leave for the books, and most things are best to not to be thought about, at the end of the day reason can get you this fair, how far, well it is not far enough for me.

2:10AM, and now I realize the only thing I am sure of is the gradual forward motion of time and how in almost all cases I can never know where I might be in the few hours to come, but I know this much that there would be many events that I will face in my life that I did not want to face, however what is important is how I deal with them, I can set around and wish and wish and wish again to turn back time, or I can face the fact and move on.
So for now best is to B +.
2:12 AM, I sure hope Netherlands wins tonight :)

A quotation from the letter of Plotinus to Placcus

A quotation from the letter of
Plotinus to Placcus on Ecstasy:
"The wise man recognises the idea of the
Good within him. This he develops by withdrawal
into the Holy Place of his own soul. He
who does not understand how the soul contains
the Beautiful within itself, seeks to realise
beauty without, by laborious production. His
aim should rather be to concentrate and simplify,
and so to expand his being ; instead of going out
into the Manifold, to forsake it for the One,
and so to float upwards towards the Divine
Fount of Being whose stream flows within
him."

to walk in the same river twice!

In order to know what it means that you do not step in the same river twice you have to first learn how to walk in the river, or more importantly make sure the river is not dry, as if it is dry you can always step in the same spot time and time again!

Sometimes all we do is walk in dry rivers and repeat the same scene time and time again, just because we are scared about the futures yet to come, we get so involved in the river that we forget it is only a dry river, and even though there is no flow in the river, the flow that that can remind us that time is indeed passing, time is still passing and all we are doing is deny the tomorrow that already has come and denying all the is yet to come, regardless of how scared we are, it is still coming!

The will to write

"The invisible hand moving that pen of yours is lead by nothing else than thought. For it can only write a letter that it can conceive. When we catch ourselves to be jealous of a particular pens writing then it is only for the reason that we cannot imagine to be doing the same.

At the end of the day, every pen can write almost anything. The only thing that the pen needs is imagination. In life that would be to believe in yourself. We can only achieve what we can imagine. That imagination is the believe in ourselves and the knowledge of our strengths and weaknesses. "

Dear Iblis:

The will to write is more important that what is written. As imaginations are mostly product of instantaneous events, and over the time it you will regret it, however regardless of the outcome it was the best you could have done at that time. it is better to write something and be ashamed than never write and never know what feeling ashamed is like.

The Power of Thought

The invisible hand moving that pen of yours is lead by nothing else than thought.

19:Life is like a Pen

Life is like a new pen. At first when it is new it doesn't write properly. Eventually after a while of using it the writing becomes smoother and smoother.
Sometimes when you don't use it for a long time the ink inside the pen will again harden up, and will become hard to write with just like the first time you tried to use the pen. And one day the ink inside the pen will end just like life.
Sometimes we see other pens and we say ,"Gee I wish I had that pen, look how smooth it writes!" It always amazes me how we forget that it is not the pen that initiate the writing but it is the hand and the mind that rules its motion.
Then why not instead of buying a new pen in order to write better just practice our hand writing and try to improve the hand that does the writing, and clear the eyes and think better, and see the world in how it is and try to write how you want the pen to write it to be!

In my language we call pen, "Khod kar". It is composed of two words, "khod", meaning "I" and "Kar" which means Work.
"I work"=Pen, and isnt really life is all about how you make it, how you work it out to be?

18-Some poem written when i was young

I always write and document anything I feel like writing and no matter how funny and boring or stupid it maybe at the time I write it down. And trust me there are so many funny things I write down. So whenever I feel sad I go back and raed my works and hav a laught. Here is something from the past, I wrote this maybe when I was 17 or so. I sound like an emo kid:D

Thundering sounds of this humble heart
Echos in the empty mind that was once full with your images,
Ahhh, no medication can heel sorrows,
Some sorrows are like burn marks;
O How this marks will burn until all eternity
O How good it is that it burns, maybe I remember not to sin again;
A sin by the name of love.

17.How norms are formed, and how we stop forming them!

The idea of time is that of progression towards something better. Norms are what the current society consider to be the right things. However I am sure on many things common sense was the reason we did or did not do some actions. Indeed there was a time that fathers had to be the one to sleep with their daughters first before marriage and yes there was a time that if you first born was a female it had to be buried alive however those norm are long gone ( I hope that is ). Why? I believe as times passes our norms only becomes better as out ethics changes and more and more people come into existence who dare to challenge the system and seek for a change, seek and strive for something better, like Socrates who opposed the God of Olympus and the ideology if his time. Sure he was murdered by the very society he strive to change for but we all saw how one main change the entire realm of philosophy and how people no longer bow down to Zeus (however come to thing of it we mostly bow to some other more sophisticated form of him, but this sophistication is also a sign of searching for something better, some God better than Zeus in this case!)
Slowly and painfully norms change. And this is done by the power of common sense t. Now you may ask what is common sense? Common sense is the very same thing that force the abolishing of the old disgusting norms of the past. It is in fact true that not all acts that are against the norm of the society are correct acts, like the act of paedophilia, and infact the person who believes in that has the right to argue so, however is it not hard to prove that man if one wants. It is this force that I call common sense.
I agree that normality is society related, and in different cultures different things are considered to be normal while in some other societies it is not. The mutual nature of a common norms suggest that one group could be wrong and it is therefore needed to be investigated. Howe we can investigate and decided is a different topic of its own and I rather not talk about it here.
However going back to the original topic and its relevance to current topic religion authority in general have been given far more power than they truly deserve. Laws also tend to give more fair treatment towards one religious bodies, and sometimes towards people of one religion than other! The existence of such unfair treatment always scares me. It scares me how a religious authority has the right to order the assassination of an author just for writing a book, it also scares me to know one Man in a white suit living in luxury, representing the spirit of a poor carpenter, has the power to hide his child molester workers, and provide them protection and dare to blame the wrong doing of his crew upon people who have nothing to do with it and still get away with it.
It also scares me how we always remain quiet on issues that bother us, just because we do not want to be rude towards ideas that we disagree with, and in many cases we could be very much wrong, yet the fact that we still remain quiet means we can never know if it was us who was wrong or it was the other person, or in terms of norm the society itself. A society with people who are in fear of being proven wrong or in fear of offending people. Such attitudes will leads to a society that is not going to go anywhere in terms of perfecting its values. A society that eventually remains ignorant and indifferent towards the things that makes us human, a society where debates and chat about life is replace with alcohol, partying and acting like tomorrow will never come. A society where we slowly cares less to have an opinion of our own and doing dialogues with others are just wrong, like the current American Foreign policies.
As Hypatia of Alexandria said, "Reserve your right to think, for even to think wrongly is better than not to think at all."

16.Another crack on free will vs destiny.

1)We do not know what God is and we only get to know him and his characters based on the laws he provides for us in his books.

2)We therefore fear him and are force to love him, and take all the bad that happens to us as good, as God is given this to us, and surely God is not unjust and unholy, he is surely a good God and therefore this bad we feel is not really a bad thing, why, because we know from our religion God is not a Mafia leader and in fact he is just and merciful!

3) Problem still remains we can never know whether all this events which happen to us are really God given. and to begin with This problems are more aimed towards the believers than non-believers.

3)Therefore whenever a believers sees cases like an innocent infant getting terminal illness, which statically speaking to a non-believer are quiet normal, we just ignore those cases and give it a benefit of doubt as God is great and just, and surely in that child suffering and death something great will lays (whatever that great is, that is also another question mark). The other option is to blame the childs family and close friend for its suffering as it is due to their crime the infant is suffering! The infant suffers to punish a crime committed by people who are close to him. This is surely speaks many justice.

4) Human life is all about experience. Whether that experience is a mental one, based on one’s thought experiments or one that one actually physical experiences, like a car accident, there is not magic behind it. Issues like free will (we doing something stupid and therefore suffer as a result) and destiny (where what happens to us is not what we aimed for, but it still happened to us due to some divine intervention) are cases only good for the story books and philosophy alone. Since one can never identify between what actions are due to our free will and what is due to divine intervention it is pointless to even speak about it. Surely I can blame all my bad deeds and sins to the destiny God has given me long before I was born, but I am sure in court of law claiming my actions to be a act due to Gods will shall not not get me far at all! After all God did give me freewill! Yet it was my free will to commit a sin (Or was it my destiny to commit a sin!? Do you see the inconsistency?)

5) Religion is just another way one can live its life, and we know by now it is not the only way. As times passes by and society grows intellectually (hopefully that is) it only becomes harder to be able to say it is what it is and take it as how it is and also consider it as a fact, as people would want better explanation and less vague statements. For the same reason when you go to the sales men and ask "how much is that tv?", and he replies “I think it is somewhere from 1 dollars to infinity, would you like to buy some?", you would not be too happy as you have a finite budget, you would not want to risk following something that you only know some part of it, and most luckily if you knew what it is all about you wouldn't sign the sales contract! It amazes me how believers easily gamble their souls, assuming there is a soul!
Surely religion is meant to be for all not for only few who truly get its meaning. To me a faith that requires scholars in order to be able to be fully understood is not a faith for all, but only for the few. A truly God given religion should be something universal, something that all mans in all level of intelligent should suppose to understand. Anything that requires a scholar to explain its theory can only mean one thing, there might some chances that it is not fact but a made up theory and hence person ‘A’ in a need for some scholar to defend and clarify the theory, much like most science which requires courses after courses for one to be able to understand it!

6) There are very few facts in life like if an apple falls within the enclosure of the earth atmosphere it will fall downward, however I and I am not confident I can ever be able to call religion as one.

7) Let’s not forget the problem of existence of God still remains unanswered.
